This vintage Zayane rug is just gorgeous! The perfect bohemian rug to bring warmth and character to your space!
The background color of this rug is a deep red but I guess you can tell from the pictures attached that it shows different shades (closer to a blood orange on some areas). The busy, traditional designs which are very visible from the back of the rug subtly pop up through the pile, which adds a great textured look to the rug! Lines, diamonds and crosses come in black, orange, cream and sage green colors. The rug has not been artificially faded and shows original colors.
Quite thick, made of wool 100%, high pile.
Approximate dimensions are 7x9.9feet / 216x302cm (+tiny tassels). If you made a quick search you know that it is unusual to find real vintage Moroccan rugs this wide. They were made first for a private use and rooms in traditional berber houses are quite narrow. That explain why you can find long rugs, but almost never wider than 7feet.
Again this rug is real vintage. It will come with light signs of wear, which make it unique and charming. That said, it has been very nicely fixed and is now in beautiful condition! Again it really is a unique rug!
