Bringing this rug to the selection because I fell in love with this unusual mix of colors: light blue, dark blue, mustard, cream, pops of orange and aqua blue. You rarely see these colors in vintage moroccan rugs. The composition is more classic yet vibrant with the traditional diamond pattern as the most common feminine symbol, here in a variated series in the middle part of the rug over a multiplied tiny ones in the background.

The rug is made of cotton and wool threads knotted on a cotton base. The texture is shaggy and the rug is quite light. At home you may need to add rug pads underneath.

Pictures were taken in my all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful work on this rug!

Dimensions

Approximate dimensions are 4x8.2feet (+4inches tassels) / 122x252cm (+10cm tassels).
The tassels ending has been nicely fixed, showing brand new tassels, but the rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.

Condition

This rug is real vintage, meaning that it was made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of age. That said, the rug has been cleaned and nicely fixed and is in great condition overall as you can see on the pictures attached.

Can be cleaned at home using water and soap, which makes it a kid and pet friendly rug!
