This small vintage rug was made by a lady weaver from the Taznakht tribe. The composition is quite classic with its main diamond design in the center and series of crosses, diamonds and stars all around. Such a sweet, traditional piece!
Background color is a dark brown with faded yellow, gray and orange/red designs + surprising tassels in blue that come from the base made of cotton strings. Naturally dyed with pomegranate peels.
The rug is made of wool + cotton. Tight weaving which is typical from the Taznakht tribe. Low pile.
Approximate dimensions are 3.2x5.5feet (+6inches tassels) / 98x168cm (+15cm tassels). The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.
This rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of age. It has been cleaned and fixed and is now in lovely condition, shows no stains or obvious repairs.
