This vintage Rehamna rug was an immediate "yes"! I selected it for the shop because I think that it's a beautiful, quite rare piece, with a great composition!
Main color is a red, actually different shades of red, with light orange and black abstract designs and 3 or 4 blue and green spots. Let's see if you can spot the teapots on the top part of that rug!
I use to offer rugs that I would buy for myself and I truly fell in love with that artful one, so special!
Made of wool 100% + blue/green cotton spots. The rug is mostly a low pile with longer pile on some parts, has kind of a "rustic" feel but is still very comfortable.
Approximate dimensions are 6 to 6.5x8.8feet / 182 to 200x268cm : due to the handmade weaving technique, the rug is not perfectly rectangle but slightly larger on one ending. It has not been cut and will come in its original shape. On the pictures you may note a darker line in the middle part of the rug: this is a folding mark that will go away with use.
Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, like some obvious repairs into the rug and on the borders that I tried to highlight on the close up shots attached to the listing. That said, it is a rug with a story which is now in beautiful condition! I can definitely send you some extra close up pictures if you want to get a better idea of the rug condition.
Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the condition, texture, designs and beautiful colors on this rug!
