I fell in love at first sight with this thick, vintage Mermoucha rug! Love everything about it, from the shaggy texture to the traditional yet simple and elegant design. And so unusual!
Background is a light beige with 2 black "frames" into the rug, one made of abstract blocks and the other featuring a serie of stars. 2 small floral designs complete the composition and appear like a signature from the lady weaver.
The rug is all handmade, comfortable and soft. Made of sheep wool 100%, high pile.
Approximate dimensions are 5.8x9.2feet (+6inches tassels) / 178x280cm (+15cm tassels). This rug has not been cut and will come in its original shape.
Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of age. That said it has been cleaned and is in beautiful condition as you can see on the pictures attached!
