How lovely is this one!! This small rug was probably made in the area of Boujad, Middle Atlas, Morocco. The main color is a bright red and the rug seems cut in two equal parts, separated by a whitish stripe. On both sides, one bold diamond design is surrounded with smaller ones and series of crosses and stars, in a non symetrical composition. Borders finish the rug in whitish and orange.
Rug collectors will love the fact that they can move this versatile rug all around the house, from the bedside to the kitchen or to brighten their entryway.
The rug is handmade 100% and mix of wool and cotton on a cotton base. Very tight weaving. Low pile to flatweave.
Approximate dimensions are 4x5feet / 124x153cm (+tassels that can be removed on demand). The rug has not been cut and will come in its original shape.
Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, like some worn spots in pile that give the rug a rustic look. That said, it has been very nicely fixed and is now in beautiful condition!
