This is such a lovely runner rug! Probably made in the area of Boujad, Middle Atlas, Morocco, the rug shows a classic composition with a serie of diamonds and zigzags. As you probably know, the diamond is a traditional feminine symbol when it comes to vintage, handmade berber rugs. The background color of the rug is a warm purple/cardinal red with multicolored diamonds and neon yellowish green lines that make the whole rug this vibrant.
Rug collectors will love the fact that they can move this versatile rug all around the house, from the bedside to the kitchen or to brighten their entryway.
The rug is handmade 100% and mix of wool and cotton. Low to medium pile.
Approximate dimensions are 3x8.7feet / 92x265cm. The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.
Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, which make it unique and charming. That said, the rug is now all clean and in a great vintage condition!
