This vintage runner rug brings such a calm vibe. Probably made in the area of Boujad, Middle Atlas, Morocco, the rug is very simple as it is mostly a rich pink/raspberry background with a black and purple frame. Only one small diamond in the center, with two minimalist, tiny teapots complete the composition. As you probably know, the diamond is a traditional feminine symbol when it comes to vintage, handmade berber rugs.
The rug is handmade 100%. It is made of a very nice, soft wool on a cotton base. The weaving is quite tight. The rug is a great quality and would go to any indoor space. The pile is a low to medium.
Approximate dimensions are 3.4x8.4feet (+3inches tassels) / 105x257cm (+8cm tassels). Due to the handmade weaving work, the rug is not perfectly rectangle as you can see on the pictures attached. It has not been cut and comes in its original shape.
Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of wear, which make it unique and charming. That said, the rug is now all clean and in a great vintage condition!
