This is such a lovely runner rug! Probably made in the area of Boujad, Middle Atlas, Morocco, the rug shows a classic composition with two parallel series of diamonds. As you probably know, the diamond is a traditional feminine symbol when it comes to vintage, handmade berber rugs. The background color of the rug is a bright red with pink diamonds and black borders.
The rug is handmade 100% and made of wool knotted on a recycled clothing base. Low to medium pile.
Approximate dimensions are 3.2x11.3feet (+2inches tassels) / 98x345cm (+5cm tassels). The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape. Due to the handmade weaving work, the rug is not perfectly rectangle as you can probably see on the pictures attached.
Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, which make it unique and charming. That said, the rug is all clean and in a great vintage condition!
