I picked this lovely runner rug from stacks of carpets as I think it is such a sweet vintage piece! Main colors are a bright pink, lilac, royal blue, sky blue, white... The composition is the classical serie of diamonds (the traditional berber symbol for pregnancy) surrounded with unregular zigzags and grey to black and white checks on the borders.
The dimensions of the rug make it a versatile rug you can move all around the house, from your bedside to the kitchen or the entryway of course.
This rug is called a boucherouite and is made of a mix of wool and cotton and recycled pieces of clothings knotted together. Medium to low pile. It can be cleaned using water and soap, easy if you have kids or pets around!
Approximate dimensions are 3.4x7.4feet (+6inches tassels) / 105x227cm (+15cm tassels). Due to the handmade weaving work, the rug is not perfectly rectangle but it is not that obvious.
Please note that this rug is vintage, meaning that it's been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of wear, like some worn spots in pile in the lilac area. That said, the rug has been nicely fixed and is now in great condition!
