This real vintage Beni Ourain rug is a great quality piece that shows a simple yet traditional, not that busy pattern in zigzags or diamonds that would match with any interior. I particularly love the mutliple flowers on each side that give rhythm to the whole composition.
The background of this Beni Ourain rug is a light beige, with brownish to gray designs. There is also a discrete blue touch close to one ending (see close-up picture attached).
The rug was all handmade by berber women from the Middle Atlas area, Northern part of Morocco. It is comfortable and soft. Made of sheep wool 100%, medium pile.
Approximate dimensions are 6.5x13.4feet (+4inches tassels) / 200x408cm (+10cm tassels). This rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.
Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of age, like some worn spots in pile. That said it is in great condition as you can see on the pictures attached!
