I had this modern-style, original Mrirt rug made by weavers artisans in the area of Khenifra, Atlas Mountains, Morocco. Groups of women there still weave by hand on traditional, vertical looms to make these new rugs!
The design is quite simple, half black/half neutral wool color with a thin, unregular yellow/light orange in between. The cream part is definitely not a pure white but still super bright and the black part is a deep black. This is an area rug with such a great character, that would look great in an office or a modern living room!
This rug is made of premium quality, extra soft wool 100%. Medium pile and quite thick.
Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the texture and beautiful colors on this rug!
