Vintage moroccan rug - cream, brown, blue, orange - Azilal - 2.9x5.7feet / 90x174cm

This little guy here is such a lovely rug! From the wool quality and the handknotted work we can tell that it was probably made in the area of Azilal, High Atlas, Morocco.

I selected it from piles of carpets as I have always loved a good vintage Azilal rug with pops of colors. This one shows a classic series of large diamonds, surrounded with zigzags on each sides. Designs come in brown over a beige background, with bright orange, pink and purple that make all the difference. On one ending, the design is getting more abstract with white, tiny pink and purple touches and contrasting turquoise tassels. This is such a sweet rug!

The rug is made of wool on a cotton base and is a medium pile, very comfortable underfeet!

Its small size makes it the perfect versatile you can move around the house, from the entryway to the bathroom or the kitchen.
