I have had this modern-style, original Mrirt rug made by artisans in the area of Khenifra, Atlas Mountains, Morocco. Groups of women there still weave by hand on traditional, vertical looms to make these new rugs with a contemporary architectural aesthetic.

This small rug shows a sophisticated geometric pattern of raised, ultra-soft cream white modules floating beautifully over a flat, natural warm-brown/camel wool base. It stands out due to its exquisite carved 3D texture and dual-pile technique (high plush pile contrasting with a low woven background).

This rug is made of premium local sheep wool 100%. Thickly and heavily hand-knotted using traditional double knots, ensuring luxurious comfort underfoot and outstanding durability.

This rug is a brand new, custom-designed rug made with the absolute best standards of craftsmanship. It has been washed professionally for several days before being listed to achieve an infinite, silky softness to the touch and ensure it is completely odor-free.

Care guide

You can vacuum your rug from time to time. If you happen to pour something on your rug, use a little bit of soft detergent and warm water, let it dry and then brush gently.
