This authentic vintage rug from the Beni Mguild tribe is probably one of my favorite at the moment! I love how the bright red on half of the rug subtly turns to a warm purple, then a lighter red and orange. The colors are original and have not been artificially faded. The pattern is the classic series of diamonds/lozenges, with tiny vegetal signs into each of them, coming in cream, orange and green. On both extremities the design is a little different and shows series of that amazigh symbol called "mechbouh".
This rug is quite thick and heavy, handmade 100% with high quality ship wool and is a high pile.
