This vintage runner rug was probably made in the area of Boujad. I really love how the black abstract designs pop out from the faded red to pink background. What you can't spot at first sight are the tiny human figures and camels that are woven onto the rug (I tried to highlight them in the pictures attached).

The rug is made of wool 100% and the pile is a low to medium.

Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful work of this rug!

Dimensions

Approximate dimensions are 95x283cm / 3.1x9.3feet.
It seems that the rug was cut in width, where it shows the red border. It was already like this when I found it and I think that the composition is great like that!

Condition

This rug is real vintage, meaning that it was made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of age. That said, the rug has been cleaned and fixed and is in great condition overall as you can see on the pictures attached.

Care guide

Can be cleaned at home using water and soap. I did it myself at home before taking those pictures and I can guarantee there will be no color bleeding issue.
