I sincerely fell in love with that original, flatweave kilim with all the busy, graphic pattern all over! Also love the bright, not artificially faded colors that are a mix of faded red to pink, orange, beige, black and green. The perfect bohemian rug for those of you who like a good, real vintage moroccan rug!
This rug is made of wool 100%, flatweave. It is reversible and the back of it is a little lighter (probably got more direct sun on that side). Another sweet detail is that the back of the rug shows a tuffed strip made of wool.
Approximate dimensions are 6.1x9.7feet / 188x296cm (+tiny pompom tassels). Due to the handmade weaving technique, the rug is not perfectly rectangle as you can probably see on the pictures attached. It is slightly tighter at both endings. It has not been cut though and will come in its original shape.
This rug is real vintage, meaning that it's been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of wear. Most obvious details to notice are the bright pink that rubbed off a bit (see close-up pictures). The rug has been nicely fixed and is now in a great vintage condition. I had it cleaned with soap and water before shooting it so I can confirm that there is no more colors bleeding concern.
Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful colors and designs on this rug!
