I selected this rug from piles of carpets as I love a nice wabi sabi rug sometimes! This one features the traditional berber designs like crosses, diamonds and stars in a mix of red, black, green and yellow. I particularly love the way the blue "base" of the rug pops out of the worn spots in pile. It really adds some charm and vibrancy to the rug. A rug you can hang on a wall like the berber art piece it is!
The dimensions of the rug make it a versatile rug you can move all around the house, from the kitchen to the entryway. This rug is one of those you can wash with water and soap, which is good to know when you have pets or kids around.
The rug is called a boucherouite and is handmade 100%. It is made of cotton and acrylic threads knotted on a cotton base. Despite its rustic look, the rug is a good quality and would go to any indoor space. Low pile.
Approximate dimensions are 4x6feet / 123x183cm (+unregular tassels). The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.
This rug is obviously real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, like some worn spots in pile and unperfect tassels. That said, the rug shows no stains or obvious fixes and is in a nice vintage condition!
