I am so glad I can bring this beautiful rug to the selection! This unique, vintage runner rug was sourced in the area of Ait Bouguemez, Morocco.
It is a real vintage Azilal rug with light signs of age but in an beautiful condition overall that shows such fresh colors! Background is a strawberry red with multiple rectangles in yellow, orange, neon pink, brownish, black and white and some flatwoven Zanafi parts that give a great texture to the rug (see close-up pictures). This joyful rug would make a perfect colorful, alternative option to the mass produced checkered rugs you can see everywhere.
The rug is made of wool and cotton and is a medium pile with flatweave parts. Original colors that were not artificially faded.
Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful work on this rug!
