I sourced this rug in the region of Aït Bouguemez, High Atlas, Morocco during a recent trip.
The unregular pattern makes a vibrant alternative to the boring, mass producted checkered rug. Multiple rectangles come in different shapes and sizes in salmon pink, powder pink, burgundy, dark green and emerald green, with a touch of a brighter pink, dark blue and blue gray closer to the tassels.
The rug is made of cotton threads knotted on a wool base. Shaggy texture yet quite light and thin. At home you would probably need to add rugpads. Unless you prefer to hang it on a wall as an abstract piece of art!
Pictures and video were taken in my all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful work on this rug!

Approximate dimensions are 5.2x6feet (+4inches tassels)/ 158x182cm (+10cm tassels).
The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape. Both endings are a short flatweave part that have been fixed, showing brand new tassels on one ending and a straight broder on the opposite.

This rug is real vintage, meaning that it was made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of age. That said, the rug has been cleaned and nicely fixed and is in great condition overall as you can see on the pictures attached.

You can vacuum your rug from time to time. If you happen to pour something on your rug, use a little bit of soft detergent and warm water, let it dry and then brush gently.
