This beautiful vintage Boujad rug is a collector rug! It shows bright colors and a great, unregular composition that goes from a busy series of stars at one ending to one single "key" design on the opposite ending, where the tassels are. The whole rug is so vibrant with pops of orange, cream, pink, black and green over a main purple background and large diamond pattern.
This handmade rug definitely is a unique piece of berber art!
The rug is made of wool on a cotton base and is a low pile. Original colors that have not been artificially faded.
Approximate dimensions are 5.1x8.8feet / 157x268cm (+tassels). The rug has been cut in length, on the side where the tassels are. The folding mark you spot on the center of the rug will go away with use.
Please note that this rug is vintage, meaning that it's been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, which makes it unique and charming. That said, it has been nicely fixed and is now in great vintage condition!
