This beautiful vintage Boujad rug just makes me happy! It shows such fresh colors and a great composition featuring unregular berber designs! On one ending, up from the triangle series, there is a flatweave kilim with textured diamonds. On the opposite ending, close to the tassels, I read a number: 199? which is probably the date the rug has been made.
The rug is made of both wool and cotton and is a medium pile, very soft and comfortable under your feet.
Approximate dimensions are 4.1x10.6feet / 127x325cm. Due to the handmade weaving work, the rug is not a perfect rectangle as you can probably see from the pictures attached. It has not been cut and will come in its original shape.
Please note that this rug is vintage, meaning that it's been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of wear. I still need to have that top border fixed so it doesn't unravel (fixes are included in price). That said, the rug is in lovely condition!
