How beautiful is this one!! This large runner was probably made in the area of Azilal, High Atlas, Morocco. The main pattern is typical from this tribe with its long chains of diamonds. The fact that it is less busy on one ending, with the black and white touches and triangle designs (referring to the mountains?) breaks the potential monotony and gives some rhythm to the whole composition. Also with that white "frame" on the other ending... The rug is quite artistic after all!

Background color is a bright red, with black and white designs, and some darker red.

The rug is handmade 100% and mix of wool and cotton on a cotton base. Low to medium pile.

Approximate dimensions are 4.9x13.4feet / 151x410cm.
The rug has not been cut and will come in its original shape. That ending with the "mountain" designs is a little wavy as you can see on the pictures but it can be easily fixed if you prefer (with no extra cost).

Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, which make it unique and charming. That said, it has been very nicely fixed and is now in beautiful condition! Again it really is a unique rug!

Pictures were taken with iPhone 11pro. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful work on this rug!
