I sourced this lovely runner rug in the city of Azilal, High Atlas, Morocco. Selected it from piles of carpets as I have always loved a good vintage Azilal rug with sweet colors.
This one shows a classic series of large diamonds, surrounded with stars on each borders. Designs come in brown over a beige background, with bright yellow and terracotta that make all the difference. This is such a sweet runner rug!
The rug is made of wool on a cotton base and is a medium pile. It is quite thick and super comfortable underfeet! Would be perfect as a bedside rug for example.
Its small size makes it the perfect versatile you can move around the house, from the entryway to the bathroom or the kitchen.
Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful work of this rug!

Approximate dimensions are 2.7x6.8feet (+2inches tassels) / 84x207cm (+5cm tassels).
The rug has not been cut and is in its original shape.

This small rug is real vintage, meaning that it was made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear which make it unique and charming. That said, it has been cleaned and is in great vintage condition!
Care guide
You can vacuum your rug from time to time. If you happen to pour something on your rug, use a little bit of soft detergent and warm water, let it dry and then brush gently.
