To appreciate the specifity of this real vintage rug you need to look at the pile a little closer. The rug is from the Beni Ourain tribe, Middle Atlas Morocco, but is not the usual thick, high pile you would think when you think of Beni Ourain rugs. This is a less usual handmade technique showing a looped pile over a flatweave base. It makes the rug more soft and flexible.
Main color is a beige with brown designs in a symetrical composition: traditional diamonds/lozenges and vegetal (both are natural, undyed wool colors).
Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful work of this rug!
Dimensions
Approximate dimensions are 6.3x10.6feet (+2inches tassels) / 192x323cm (+5cm tassels).
The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.

Condition
This rug is real vintage, meaning that it was made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of wear. That said, the rug shows no obvious fixes or stains and is in great condition overall!
Care guide
You can vacuum your rug from time to time. If you happen to pour something on your rug, use a little bit of soft detergent and warm water and let it dry.
