This lovely vintage rug has been sourced in the area of Azilal, Morocco. It is made of multiple, colorful cotton and wool threads in brown, yellow, pink, blue, knotted together.
If you look at it closely, you will spot 2 colorful teapots and names written into it, amongst usual berber designs like diamonds and checks. The name Bahija and "HAPPY NEW YEAR 1990" in arabic ("Sana Saïda 1990") are written into the rug, which make this piece really special! I love when a vintage moroccan brings so much history with it!
Approximate dimensions are 3x8.7feet / 93x265cm.
Please note that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it's been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear. That said, the rug is in beautiful condition, shows no stains or obvious repairs! Bright colors.
